Hi all,
We want to make you aware of two current issues affecting many users using Teams desktop application:
- Notifications may not be working as expected. Calls will ring your phone but not the desktop app and notification pop-up not appearing.
- A persistent white/black box may remain open after calls and/or meetings.
These are known issues with Microsoft and not unique to our environment. While it does not impact everyone, we’d like to suggest using Teams online as a clean workaround until we learn more about a potential or permanent fix:
- Quit the Teams desktop app by right‑clicking the Teams icon in the taskbar and selecting Quit.
- Access Teams online: Go to the main intranet site, click the 9 dots icon, and open Teams from there as shown below.
Our IT team is monitoring the situation closely and will provide an update once Microsoft delivers a resolution.
